The Dramatic Decorator saved me from a “do-it-yourself” decorating disaster. I wanted a home office and had some ideas about furnishing it. Are you a full-service design firm?

Sorry, no.

In order to work with English-speaking clients all over the world, I've chosen to focus on offering virtual design and consultation services only.

​While I don't handle purchasing or installation, I make the process as easy as possible for you by sharing resources like clickable shopping lists and implementation guides, depending on the service you select. You can then DIY or hire contractors to paint, hang art, etc.

How do I know if we're a good fit?

I'd say we're off to a good start if you're interested in transforming your space to better reflect your personality and if styles that could be described as "bold," "glam," "dramatic," and "striking" appeal to you!

What are the benefits of virtual design services?

Oh, so many!

The big one is that we don't have to be neighbors to work together. Pretty cool. And you can review and approve designs at 2 a.m. while wearing your (fabulous silk) pajamas, if that's your thing.

I save you time and money since my fees are only for designs and consultations. You handle whatever shopping and installation is needed - with expert guidance and resources from me, of course!

What's your design style?

I'm more interested in yours.

But, since you asked, I'd say my signature style is a contemporary take on Hollywood Regency. I love glitz and glamor, high contrast, jewel tones, and pattern mixing. I also lean towards sculptural shapes and clean lines. I'm drawn to styles like Art Deco, Neoclassical, and the glam side of Mid-Century Modern, and I adore mixing old with new. What I'm not is boring or predictable and I love working with clients who have similar aesthetics.
